Things to Consider When
Building Your Hangar

Our building specialists will walk you through all of these during your free consultation.

Door Width & Height

The most critical dimension in hangar design. Your door needs to accommodate your aircraft's wingspan plus clearance for safe maneuvering. We recommend adding at least 10ft of clearance to your widest dimension.

Eave Height

Your eave height needs to accommodate your aircraft's tail height with room to spare. Consider future aircraft too — building taller now is cheaper than adding height later.

Snow & Wind Loads

Mountain locations in Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana can see extreme snow loads and high winds. All our hangars are engineered to meet or exceed local codes for your specific site.

Concrete Apron

A solid concrete apron in front of and inside your hangar is essential. We can coordinate with your concrete contractor or refer you to trusted local crews in CO, WY & MT.

Insulation & Climate

Avionics, hydraulic fluids, and aircraft batteries all perform better in a climate-controlled environment. We offer full insulation packages to protect your investment year-round.

Permits & Zoning

Hangar permits vary by county and whether you're on an airport or private land. We provide engineering documentation to support your permit application and can advise on local requirements.
